We all strive for it. Some feel they attain it; most don’t. I think it is one of those things that you feel you can always do better at.
Yes I’d love to spend more time with the kids but they need feeding.
Yes, I’d love to spend more time at the gym and lose weight, but I need to see the kids.
The question you have to ask yourself is: what sacrifices are you happy to make?
As Nigel says, small changes can make a big difference but can you put those changes into effect?
PS: His ideal day sounds pretty freakin’ good and no I’ve never had one like that!
